Computer Lab Banner

The CIS Computer Lab is reserved exclusively for students, faculty and staff of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences.


  1. Files should be saved to a removable device.
  2. No eating or drinking in the lab.
  3. No games of any kind.
  4. No music should be heard in the lab. Head phones should be worn.
  5. Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  6. If there is a shortage of available machines, users must give up their computers if they are needed for a higher priority use. Priorities for use of the computers are:
    • Regular classes meeting in the computer labs
    • Working on assigned homework and class projects
  7. Do not install any software, or modify or delete any system file.
  8. Unauthorized access to or tampering with computer networks or hardware will not be tolerated.
  9. Making illegal copies of software is a crime and is strictly prohibited, as is using lab equipment to duplicate software, music, or other copyrighted materials.
  10. Respect the equipment. Don't remove or disconnect any labels, parts or cables.
  11. Do not run programs that continue to execute after you log off.
  12. Keep the lab clean.
  13. Students found not adhering to lab policies will be barred/restricted from using lab facilities.
